Jacob DePriest

Jacob DePriest is the CISO and CIO at 1Password, where he leads Security and IT while helping shape product strategy. Prior to joining 1Password, he served as VP and Deputy CSO at GitHub, where he led the Security team and helped establish GitHub as a trusted home for developers. Before GitHub, he was a senior executive at the National Security Agency where he built and led the Developer Experience program, served as the agency’s executive sponsor for open source, and drove several IT and security transformation initiatives. Having led both engineering and security teams, Jacob is passionate about security working with the developer flow and not against it. Outside of work, Jacob enjoys staying active, reading science fiction/fantasy, and hanging out with his wife and two boys in Maryland.
